Skechers Walking Shoes Are The New Best Thing

Skechers is a relatively new company in the walking and fitness shoe business. They have only been around since 1992, but are one of the fastest growing footwear companies in the United States. They make trendy, casual shoes aimed at 19-40 year old men and women. Skechers now designs and markets more than 900 different shoes. Skechers are manufactured in China, Mexico, Brazil, and Romania. This allows for lower prices than their competitors. Their flashy ad campaigns have contributed greatly to their growth. Now everyone wants the skechers walking shoes.

Skechers walking shoes are popular among the target market, but my husband’s 90 year old great aunt loves them too.

The newest shoe in their line is the very popular Skechers Shape Up. These shoes have a unique rocker bottom and claim to tone and firm the legs and buttocks while you walk.

They retail for around $100.00 a pair and every major manufacturer of walking shoes is scrambling to come up with their own version. Good grief, what woman would not want to increase her calorie burn and firm up just walking around? Shape Ups come in a variety of sharp looking colors and now sandals and Mary Jane styles have been added to the line. Studies have shown that they do work over time. You will be working different muscles and women who wear high heels all the time or have Achilles tendon problems will need to do a lot of stretching before trying these shoes. Did I mention they have Shape Ups for men? Get ready to shake that booty guys.

Skechers also makes traditional walking shoes in a number of styles and colors. All of the walking shoes come in white, but most styles have two or three additional colors to choose from. They have slip on, lace front and slide style for men, women and children. Some of the girl’s shoes are adorable, with bright colors and prints. The women’s Mary Jane style is very attractive and could be worn casually as well as for walking. The men’s shoes are very sharp looking as well and I can see how they would appeal to younger men.

Skechers walking shoes as well as the rest of their line can be purchased at most major department stores as well as outlets like Marshalls and T.J. Maxx. Age doesn’t really matter. If you want something a little different in your walking shoes, check out Skechers.
